Aquatech to Build Desalination Facility in the UAE

Aquatech has bagged a $82m contract to build a 15 million gallons per day seawater reverse osmosis-based desalination facility for Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE.

The facility, to be located at Ghalilah, will be delivered on an engineering, procurement and construction basis for the UAE’s Federal Electricity and Water Authority.

The company will provide seawater intake, dissolved air flotation, ultra filtration, and post-treatment packages along with civil works at the plant.

Aquatech will also supply a distributed control system for performance enhancement and data monitoring.

The project is scheduled to be operational in late 2013.
