Israel to Share Water Management Solutions with India

India’s CII-Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre has entered a partnership with Israel’s Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labour to exchange water management solutions.

Both countries will share solutions and technologies under the Israel NewTech programme, reports business-standard.com.

In India, around 23 billion litres of domestic wastewater is generated per day, six billion of which is treated, whereas the industrial sector generates 13 billion litres of water, of which 60% is treated.

CII-GBCS executive director S Raghupathy said the opportunities for water efficiency improvement in India’s industrial sector, including the chemical, engineering, automobile, pulp and paper fields, is valued at around $10.8m.
