ECSI Develops New Water Monitoring System

Electronic Control Security (ECSI) has developed a new water monitoring system that can identify and report the presence of chemical and biological contaminants.

If a contamination incident occurs, the water infrastructure sensing equipment (WISE) system is capable of either automatically shutting down the flow of water or diverting it through a filtering system.

The system can be used as an alternative to conventional grab-sampling technique and is cost effective, according to ECSI.

Company president and CEO Arthur Barchenko said that the new technology will provide online convenience, real-time risk mitigation and long-term cost savings to the end user.

“Based on the initial market reaction, we anticipate a significant demand for WISE as a solutions-oriented technology, while the water quality and monitoring market continues to emerge and develop around the world,” said Barchenko.
