Crown to Supply Water Treatment System for Solar Power Plant

Crown Solutions, a subsidiary of Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies, has signed a contract with Abener-Teyma, an Abengoa joint venture, to supply an integrated, near zero liquid discharge water treatment system.

The system will be installed at the world’s largest thermal solar power plant in Arizona, US, which is operated by Abengoa Solar.

The plant consists of two 140MW steam generator / turbine generator units supplied with heat from a solar collector field and a large thermal storage system.

Crown’s water treatment system will include a 4,500 gallons per minute integrated well water and wastewater recovery system, along with Veolia Water’s patented ACTIFLO for softening.
