Pennsylvania to Spend $99m on Water Infrastructure Improvements

The US state of Pennsylvania is to spend $99m on improving the water and wastewater infrastructure of 20 counties across the state.

Among the projects, $20m will be used to upgrade and expand a wastewater treatment facility in Schuylkill County, and Lancaster County will receive $157,534 to construct a manure storage facility to reduce nutrient runoff into the Chesapeake Bay watershed.

The funds are a combination of commonwealth funds, federal grants to the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority from the Environmental Protection Agency and recycled loan repayments from previous funding awards.
