C’treat Secures Contract for Potable Water Supply

ITT’s unit C’treat Offshore has been awarded a contract for Spain’s Castor underground storage project in the eastern Mediterranean Sea, to enable the supply of potable water.

Under the contract, C’treat will supply its Model 2CFD101-3 reverse osmosis watermaker to the project.

The system will provide a dependable source of fresh water for offshore drilling and production operations.

The watermaker consists of two fully independent, 9m³/day water-making systems.

The project converts the depleted Amposta oil field into an underground gas storage reservoir and requires a reliable source of fresh water.
