AECOM Awarded $66m Contract for US Sewer Facility

AECOM Technology has received a design and construction management contract worth $66m for the Dugway West Interceptor Relief Sewer in Cleveland, Ohio, US.

Under the contract, AECOM will provide preliminary and detailed design and construction management services.

The project includes a 10,600ft main line relief sewer, 4,000ft of connecting sewers and modification of more than 40 system regulators.

It also requires large diameter shallow rock tunnelling, microtunnelling and open-cut construction in a congested urban area.

The Dugway West Interceptor Relief Sewer will act as connecting facility for all of the combined sewer overflow control projects in the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District’s Easterly service area.
