United Envirotech to Build Wastewater Treatment Plant in China

United Envirotech has won a RMB220m ($34m) contract to develop a wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 50,000m³ per day in Dafeng, Jiangsu, China.

Phase I of the project includes construction of a 10,000m³ per day membrane bioreactor plant, which will be funded by United Envirotech through a combination of proceeds from the last share placement and bank financing.

The work will be completed in nine months’ time.

“Our successful completion of our first project in Dafeng has won us recognition for our technology and capability from the local authorities, and positioned us favourably against other bidders for the project,” said United Envirotech chairman and CEO Lin Yucheng.

Earlier this month, United Envirotech entered a purchase agreement with Kohlberg Kravis Roberts for a $113.8m convertible bond investment.
