Unimas, EPC Synergy to improve Malaysia’s water infrastructure

Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) has signed a memorandum of understanding with EPC Synergy to develop a drinking water infrastructure and sanitation services in rural Malaysia.

Unimas will explore potential research and consultancy projects in areas where there is no water supply, reports The Star.

Unimas vice-chancellor Khairuddin Ad Hamid said that the alliance will help meet the aspirations of the rural and regional development ministry to increase water supply coverage throughout the country.

“This collaboration is also an initiative to supplement and support the establishment of Green Energy Island, which is an ongoing agenda for the Energy, Green Technology and Water Ministry,” said Hamid.
