Sionix, SEEPL to form joint venture in India

Sionix Corporation has signed a memorandum of understanding with Superklean Environmental Engineers (SEEPL) to form a joint venture to address India’s water treatment requirements.

The joint venture, which is named Sionix SK India, will join Sionix’s mobile water treatment system (MWTS) products and dissolved air flotation technology with SEEPL’s submerged aerobic fixed film technology, proprietary electrocoagulation products, anaerobic reactors and dewatering equipment.

The daily operations of the joint venture will be under the supervision and control of SEEPL.

Sionix will also grant a licence to Sionix SK India to fabricate and assemble MWTSs in India for applications on the Indian sub-continent under a royalty arrangement.

SEEPL director of operations Amit Gandhi said that the addition of Sionix’s MWTS products will give the firm a complete suite of water treatment products, engineering and design competence and geographic coverage on the Indian sub-continent.
