Water Treatment Will Grow to $4.3bn

The water treatment market will be worth $4.3bn in the next five years, according to new research by OTM Consulting and Douglas-Westwood.

The company’s Produced Water Gamechanger Report 2010–2014 shows the market for topside-produced water reinjection is expected to be around $9.8bn over the same period.

New technologies such as treatment, minimisation, separation and even re-use for produced water will drive the water treatment market.

The research also reveals that environmental and pollution regulation at local, regional or national levels will lead the operators’ interest in new technology and innovation.
