US to Build $102.8m Water Treatment Plant

Initial planning for a new $102.8m water treatment plant in Grand Forks, North Dakota, USA, is expected to begin this year.

The City of Grand Forks will undertake a $600,000 pilot study and begin the $1m planning and engineering process.

Design work will start in mid-2011 and cost $6.2m, while the bidding process may start in mid-2013, costing about $300,000.

The construction of the $94.7m plant will start at the end of 2013, according to grandforksherald.com.

The project will receive half of the funding from the City of Grand Forks and the rest from state and federal governments.
