IDB Funds Uzbekistan Sewerage Project

The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) has agreed to provide $35.37m for a sewerage project in Uzbekistan.

According to UzReport, IDB and the Government of Uzbekistan have signed a financing agreement to provide funds for the Tashkent Sewerage Project.

The report says that the Tashkent Sewerage Project would enhance the wastewater management system in the Tashkent municipality, improving the city’s public sanitation.

According to the plan, the existing wastewater treatment plants would be rehabilitated and modern facilities installed.
