Global Defence Awarded $94m Water Purification Contract

Global Defence Technology and Systems has been awarded a $94m contract to build 500 water purification systems for the US Marine Corps Systems Command.

The US-based based technological and tactical service provider will provide expeditionary water purification systems to be used by the Navy.

The initial delivery orders are for three systems, each costing $1.1m, according to defenseprocurementnews.com.

The work will be performed in Frederick, Maryland, and is expected to complete by 31 May 2015.
