L&T Secures Water Contracts from IOC, PAEW

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured two water supply orders from Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) and the Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW) of Oman.

L&T’s water and effluent treatment business unit won the Rs2.39bn ($51m) IOC contract.

The work includes the construction of stormwater drains, a reservoir, laying of a sea outfall pipeline, a lift station and pumping machinery for IOC’s refinery in the state of Orissa.

The project is expected to be completed in 12 months.

The engineering group also received an order from Oman’s PAEW to carry out Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition works for a water transmission network.
