Peru Invests $23m in Two Water Projects

Peru’s state water authority Sedapal has invested PEN66m ($23m) in two water and sanitation projects in the Lurigancho Chosica district of Lima.

The projects, implemented under the Ñaña scheme, will provide water and sewer services to over 35,000 people in 56 different settlements of Chosica Lurigancho.

One project includes the construction of six reservoirs, three tanks, the installation of 4,000 house connections and improvements to the wastewater treatment plant in San Antonio de Carapongo.

Another project in the district’s Santa Maria de Huachipa area undertaken by Sedapal includes building reservoirs and cisterns and installing 1,479 domestic connections.
