Colombian City to Invest $428m in Water Projects

Cali, Colombia, will invest $428m to clean up its water resources, including an improvement in the city’s wastewater treatment coverage.

The city planned to invest COP604bn ($319m) by 2019 to improve its wastewater coverage.

It will also spend COP39.5bn ($209m) to close the Navarro garbage dump and COP2.7bn ($14m) on a rubble processing plant in a bid to improve water resources.

The project will be funded by national, regional and local governments, according to bnamericas.com.
