Drake & Scull Secures Water Cooling Contract

Drake & Scull has secured a $182m contract from Qatar to design and build two water cooling plants for Dohaland’s Musheireb project.

The work includes the design and construction of district cooling plants comprising chiller plants, cooling towers and equipment and services with total refrigeration capacity of 29,250t.

The contract also includes the design and construction of a chilled water reticulation network as well as the design and construction of complete mechanical electrical and plumbing building services for the plants.

The UAE-based engineering group will also operate and maintain the district cooling plants for a minimum period of five years.
