Colombia to Start Sanitation, Water Project

Colombian water utility Aguas y Aguas de Pereira has secured a 97bn peso ($52m) contract from its government for a water and sanitation project.

The proposal includes the construction of water and sewerage infrastructure to supply drinking water to 13 cities in the Choko department, including Tado municipality.

The Spanish international cooperation agency, AECID, is partly financing the project with a 67bn peso ($36m) grant.

The work is estimated to be completed in two years, according to waterworld.com.
