Brazil Plans Sanitation Project

Brazil plans to implement a R22.4m ($12m) project to provide sanitation services in Tijucal, Nova Esperança, Sao Joao Del Rey, Pedra 90, Carumbe, Planalto, CPA and its surrounding regions.

The project also includes the deployment of two preliminary sewage treatment systems near Lake Encantada and each plant will process 50l of water per second.

The project is being implemented under Brazil’s R18.8m ($10m) growth acceleration plan, which the Brazilian army will carry out.

Brazilian construction company LOG Engenharia has also won a R3.55m ($2m) contract to deploy a sewerage treatment system, according to bnamericas.com.
