Veolia Secures Caribbean Desalination Contract

Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies has secured a contract through two of its subsidiaries to build a desalination plant for the Caribbean island of Aruba.

The company said Water Systems and OTV will design and build a 24,000m³ per day desalination plant on the island to treat seawater from beach wells.

The contract also includes a performance guarantee, one year of on-site operations assistance and two years of off-site technical assistance to the desalination plant.

The project was awarded by Aruba’s water utility WEB Aruba and will be implemented within 22 months.
