ITT to Invest in Global Water and Sanitation

ITT Corporation has pledged to spend $10.5m over the next three years to provide water and sanitation to one million people around the world.

The US-based technology company aims to provide drinking water and sanitation services to 500,000 people by the end of 2010 through its Watermark programme.

ITT has partnered with non-profit organisations to bring safe water, sanitation and hygiene education to children, families and communities in the developing world.

Additional investment will cover new countries in Latin America and increase the reach of its current programmes in India and China.
