China to Fund Ghana Water Project

China will extend a $270m loan to Ghana to carry out expansion works at the Kpong Water Project in Ghana.

The funding will increase water supplies by 40 million gallons a day to Accra, the capital city of Ghana.

The additional supplies will help reduce water shortages in the city and aid Ghana in achieving its Millennium Development Goal.

The concessionary loan was approved by Exim Bank of China to Gazuba Group International, contractor for the water expansion project.
