Krebs & Sisler Unveils New Carbon Dioxide Water Purification Method

Krebs & Sisler has developed a carbon dioxide water purification method that promises to produce potable water at half the cost of reverse osmosis in large continuous flow volume.

The method purifies wastewater and salt water through a combination of photosynthesis with photocatalysis.

High-rate photosynthesis is used to separate the carbon dioxide, while algae biomass absorbs the minerals dissolved in water and held in organic and inorganic compounds.

The process also grows biomass rapidly, which can be harvested for animal consumption.
