Philippines to Undertake Water Project

The Philippine’s Manila Water is planning to invest P1.2bn ($27m) to rehabilitate and improve the water distribution network in Laguna province of the country.

The project will provide piped water service connections to 400,000 customers in the cities of Binan and Santa Rosa and in the municipality of Cabuyao.

Under the project, P500m ($11m) will be invested to reduce water losses and increase water efficiency by rehabilitating water networks.

The project will also rehabilitate deep wells and water networks to save eight million litres of water a day.
