JICA to Fund Rwanda Water Project

Rwanda is planning to construct a Rwf21.42bn ($35m) drinking water project in the eastern province of the country with funding from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

The proposed project will provide clean water to residents in all seven districts of the province.

The districts often face severe shortages because water sources are not evenly distributed, and the project will provide water to villages in the province according to newtimes.com.
