Coffman Specialties Wins US Irrigation Project

Coffman Specialties, along with Ames Construction, has secured a $16m contract to rehabilitate an irrigation canal running through the Gila River Indian Community in Arizona, US.

The contract includes paving up of seven miles of waterway with three inch thick fiber reinforced concrete to prevent water loss due to ground seepage.

The project also includes demolition and reconstruction of several structures and gateways, and upon completion the project will provide water to irrigate more than 146,000 acres of farmland.

The project is part of the Pima-Maricopa Irrigation Project and will be completed in three years.
