Costa Rica to Invest in Water Projects

Costa Rica is planning to invest CRC773bn ($1.4bn) to upgrade its potable water and sanitation networks.

The country’s state water utility AyA received CRC127bn (224m) to carry out the water projects.

The water company sought additional funding from the Costa Rican Government and is also considering seeking a loan from the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (Cabei) to carry out studies to determine the extent of the damage to its potable water pipelines, according to waterwold.com.
