Sembawang Wins Singapore Water Contract

Sembawang Engineers and Constructors, a subsidiary of Punj Lloyd, has secured a $180.6m contract from PUB, the national water agency of Singapore, to build a water plant.

The plant will be built at lower Seletar reservoir to treat water from the existing reservoir and deliver drinking water to Singapore’s Island Service Reservoir.

The project includes the construction, testing and commissioning of the waterworks and ancillary facilities, as well as one year’s maintenance for the plant.

The plant, to be completed in April 2013, will treat 60 million gallons a day of water.
