Sound Global to supply Chinese sewage treatment project

Hong-Kong-based water and wastewater treatment solutions provider Sound Global has signed a contract to invest, build, operate and transfer a sewage treatment plant network project in Wood Park, China.

Located at Suqian City, Jiangsu Province, the Siyang Wood Park Project will have a daily capacity of 15,000t and expected long-term daily capacity of 30,000t.

The project has a licensed operating term of 30 years with total investments amounting to approximately RMB60m ($10.2m).

Construction of the project will take around 12 months, with completion and operation to begin by the end of the year.

Sound Global chairman Wen Yibo said that Sound Global’s technological strength enabled the company to win the contract, as well as its capital, project implementation, facilities and operation.

"Capitalising on its own strengths in technology, management and whole industry chain, and through intensive, modular and clustering management, Sound Global adopts state-of-the-art A2O technology that significantly simplifies the operational management, reduces operating costs, increases system stability, reliability and treatment efficiency, with an aim to identify an economically viable solution for industrial park environmental governance in the PRC," Yibo added.

"Since then, Sound Global will also adopt such technology and model to establish more projects in many provinces in the PRC taking the industrial park as a regional unit."
