Veolia Water signs distribution agreement with MIOX

France-based water and wastewater services company Veolia Water Solutions and Technologies has signed a distribution agreement with on-site chemical generation technology company MIOX for cooling tower water treatment, wastewater reuse, industrial water treatment and downstream oil and gas water applications.

Veolia’s Hydrex water treatment chemicals global director Nathalie Martin-Ionesco said: "MIOX technology brings a competitive edge to Veolia’s portfolio by effectively removing biofilm, reducing chemical usage and reducing carbon footprint."

MIOX has expanded its industrial cooling tower installation base while developing technologies that support water management and recycling for industrial and oil and gas applications.

MIOX sales and marketing vice president Cem Candir said that the company is scalable to meet water challenges of any size.

"Our proprietary on-site chemical generation process brings a unique, cost effective yet powerful product to traditional water treatment," Candir added.

MIOX reported that this agreement with Veolia is consistent with its approach of establishing long-term partnerships with quality companies that have the ability to focus on specific market segments in select geographies.
