Twin Filter has extended its product range with the innovative dynamic centrifugal coalescer (DCC). The patented dynamic centrifugal coalescer improves the performance of produced water (PW) separation systems.
The size of oil droplets is very crucial in any oil water separation system. By means of high gravitational forces, oil droplets between 3µm to 30µm are increased in size to some 50µm to 100µm. This allows ‘traditional’ separation devices to remove the oil from the water at a much improved efficiency rate. The DCC is a non-plugging (use of PFTE materials) mechanical coalescing technology and a proven solution for increasing the performance of produced water treatment.
The dynamic centrifugal coalescer can be used as part of new oil water separation systems for produced water as well as for upgrading your existing systems. Other applications include: well testing, run-off water / bilge water, slop water treatment, frac fluids, waste water clean-up and gas treatment (see next issue).
