Global public health organization NSF International and the Direct Drinking Water Times, one of China’s leading water publications, will co-sponsor the second annual Global Water Purification Summit, 21 – 22 April 2016 in Beijing, China.
The summit will bring together leaders in the Asia-Pacific water sector to provide insight and clarity on the challenges and opportunities of the water purification industry from a variety of perspectives, including policy, economics and technology.
This year’s summit will revolve around the theme, Global Vision: Toward a Mature Industry in a New Era of Ecological Development, and covers growth, trends and opportunities in the Asia-Pacific water purification industry. Forums, panels, workshops, keynote speakers and private business meetings will allow professionals to network and share knowledge about these important industry topics. The summit will provide a chance for dialog among industry leaders and will promote the expansion, innovation and development of domestic and international businesses.
Rick Andrew, global business development director for water systems at NSF International, will discuss in his presentation, Trends in products and technology in the POU/POE industry, the requirements for NSF certification of POU (point of use) / POE (point of entry) products and summarize the global scope of certifications that NSF International has performed. In addition, he will discuss industry challenges, such as commoditization and trade barriers, and how testing and certification can help manufacturers overcome these challenges.
