Peru to Tender Lomas de Carabayllo Water Project

Peru is to award a $42m tender to build the Lomas de Carabayllo water project in January 2011.

The project includes the construction of five reservoirs, two cisterns and renovation of the Puente Piedra wastewater treatment plant.

The project also includes the installation of 155km of potable water pipelines and 128km of sewerage pipelines, according to andina.com.

The project is being implemented under Peru’s ‘water for everyone’ programme, which aims to provide water and sewerage services to the entire Lima district, benefiting 90,000 residents.
