Halla Energy Wins Saudi Arabia Sewage Treatment Plant Deal

Halla Energy & Environment Company has secured a $85m contract from Murafiq to expand a sewage treatment plant in western Saudi Arabia.

Under the deal with the Saudi Arabian power and water utility, Halla Energy will expand the capacity of the plant, which is located in the Yanbu industrial complex 300km north of Jeddah.

The expansion will raise the plant’s sewage treatment capacity to 47,000m³ a day from the current capacity of 27,000m³ a day.

The South Korean company will complete the expansion by January 2013, according to www.arabnews.com.
