Paraguay Plans Water and Sanitation Project

Paraguay is planning to implement an $80m water and sanitation project to expand its coverage.

The project will include the expansion and replacement of potable water and sewage networks, as well as the construction of new potable water and wastewater treatment plants.

The project is jointly planned by Paraguay’s Public Works and Communications ministry and state water utility Essap, and will be financed by the World Bank.

Paraguay currently has 69% domestic potable water coverage and 13% of the population have access to sewerage facilities, according to bnamericas.com.
