Insituform Awarded Hong Kong Sewer Contract
Insituform Technologies has received a $17m contract for sewer rehabilitation in Hong Kong.
The two-term renewal contract includes the rehabilitation of wastewater pipelines located in the highly populated Central District and Mainland North District of Hong Kong for three and five years, respectively.
The US company will replace the existing pipelines, which date back to the colonial years of Hong Kong, with its fibre-reinforced CIPP pipelines.
CIPP is a jointless pipe-within-a-pipe system that reduces water infiltration, restores structural integrity and increases water flow capacity at a lower cost without disruption to communities.
