Argentina Floats $297m Tender for Chaco Pipeline Project

Argentina has floated a tender to build the $297m Lavalle-Juan Jose Castelli potable water pipeline in the province of Chaco.

The project includes building an intake line at Bermejo River in Puerto Lavalle, a 62km pipeline to a new potable water plant in Juan Jose Castelli, pumping stations, distribution networks and reserve cisterns.

Argentina is seeking bids for the project by 8 April 2011, according to bnamericas.com.

The project will be part funded by the Inter-American Development Bank and will take 30 months to complete.
