Colombian Utility Plans Investment in Water Projects

Colombia’s water utility EPM is planning to invest COP546bn ($303m) in water and sanitation projects between 2011 and 2013.

The funds will be invested in modernising the potable water infrastructures of the towns of Le Fe and Piedras Blancas in Colombia’s north-west department of Antioquia.

EPM is also planning to repair a 128km pipeline, according to waterworld.com.

The water utility will also build a wastewater collection system in the districts of Centro Parrilla and Doce de Octubre to carry sewage to the wastewater treatment plant to be built in Bello.
