Exeeco has been busy training Yorkshire Water field service engineers on Rotork’s IQ and A Range electric valve actuators. Over a ten-week period more than 70 technicians have attended Exeeco’s comprehensive actuator training facility at Leeds. Training provided covers all aspects of:
- Actuator operations and controls
- Torque and limit settings
- Indication and control wiring
- Interlocking and emergency shutdown functions
- Fault finding and repair
The training and technical support has been welcomed by both operators and field service engineers throughout the region.
Yorkshire Water technical support engineer Nick Cooper commented: "This training was carried out as part of our ongoing commitment to staff development for our engineering reliability team. The training was very informative and well received, with feedback from our engineers describing it as ‘must-have training’. Their confidence in the field is further reinforced by the knowledge that this excellent facility and technical support is available from Exeeco 24 hours-a-day."
He added: "Following the training we have seen a steady decline in the number of calls to actuator specialists that we have to make. This is proving to be a significant cost saving that can be directly attributed to the training programme. Our engineers are much more confident in their ability to carry out actuator settings and adjustments."
