Amec Secures UK Water Contract

Entec, a subsidiary of Amec, has won a contract to provide support to Northumbrian Water’s AMP5 Technical Services and Commercial Services frameworks in the UK.

The frameworks will provide support to Northumbrian Water’s £1.37bn ($2.11bn) five-year investment programme.

The UK-based engineering group will provide multi-disciplinary engineering, contract supervision services and associated environmental support, as well as contract administration and cost management activities.

The contract will run up to ten years following an initial four-year term, which is renewable by a further four years at a fee of £8m ($12.3m) per year.

Northumbrian Water serves 2.6 million people in north-east England with water and sewerage services, and 1.8 million in south-east England where it provides water services.
