Pakistan Completes Water Supply Projects

The Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA) of Pakistan has completed 200 water supply projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Abbottabad, Pakistan, built at a cost of Rs832m ($9m).

ERRA spokesman said the projects implemented by three Line Agencies, TMA Abbottabad, TMA Havelian and PHED Abbottabad, will provide benefits to a population of 700,000, reports the Associated Press of Pakistan.

ERRA has also provided vehicles, staff and equipment to the line agencies to improve their capacity in meeting the reconstruction and rehabilitation line agencies.

Water and sanitation schemes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been completed, while the remaining 15% of schemes in Azad Jammu and Kashmir will be completed soon.
