Glenwood Wastewater Treatment Project to Begin Soon

Work on the Glenwood Springs Wastewater Treatment Plant in Colorado, USA, is expected to begin soon.

The Colorado Water Development and Power Authority has recently issued the bond sale, while funding for the project will be worked out on 10 May.

Moltz Construction has been awarded a $22.3m contract to build the new plant, however, no specific start date for construction has been disclosed yet.

The new facility will include a lift station at the confluence location that will be connected to the new facility by a force main.

Furthermore, construction of the plant’s access road and installation of a force main worth $6m has been completed.

The project is expected to be complete in 2012, according to postindependent.com.

Glenwood’s existing plant located at the confluence area north of Seventh Street will also be relocated.
