L&T Wins $190m Water Order from Qatar

Larsen & Turbo (L&T) has secured an order of QR691.2m ($189.7m) from Qatar.

The water technology business unit of Indian-based L&T has won a turnkey project from Qatar’s Public Works Authority for the treatment of waste water and its reuse.

The project work includes designing, supplying, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning of Doha South Sewage Treatment Works.

The project will be implemented on a lump-sum turnkey basis and is scheduled to be operational by 2012.
