Bolivia to Invest in Water Projects

Bolivia is carrying out 200 water, sanitation, irrigation and watershed protection projects with a combined investment of $132m.

The project includes the installation of 32,000 domestic drinking water connections, 11km of pipelines and the expansion of the Alto Lima potable water treatment plant.

Bolivia’s water and environment ministry will also invest in irrigation projects in La Paz, Chuquisaca, Cochabamba, Potosi, Tarija, Oruro and Santa Cruz with an investment of $28m.

The Bolivian Government plans to invest $14m in watershed management projects in the country.

The country has already invested $84m in 100 potable water and sewerage projects, according to waterworld.com.
