Vietnam Commissions Water Project

Vietnam has commissioned the Thu Duc waterworks project, built at a cost of VND1.7tn ($87m).

Constructed by the Vietnam-based water company Thu Duc Water, the project will supply about 300,000m³ of water a day to several districts in Ho Chi Minh City.

The project, funded by Vietnam Development Bank, includes Hoa An raw water intake pumping station, which has a capacity to pump 315,000m³ a day in Dong Nai Province, a water treatment plant, a water treatment reservoir of 43,500m³, a pumping station and a management centre.

The water output will be purchased by the Saigon Water Supply Corporation (SAWACO), according to vietnamnews.vnagency.com.
