UK County to Upgrade Sewer Systems

Yorkshire Water plans to invest £120m ($189m) in upgrading wastewater treatment works and a sewer network to prevent sewer flooding in the county of York, UK.

The UK water utility will undertake improvement in sewage treatment systems across its regions over the next five years.

Yorkshire Water will also install more pumping stations to force sewage into sewers in roads to avoid it backing up into customers’ properties.

The work will be carried out by Mott MacDonald Bentley.
