Expansion of the potable water network in Damascus, Syria, will be aided by a KD15m ($51m) loan from the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED).
The deal was announced by a Syrian official after talks between KFAED and Prime Minister Mohammed Naji Otri.
The project aims to meet the demands of potable water until 2022.
The project will also improve the efficiency of the network and decrease water losses in the suburbs of Damascus, according to the Syrian daily newspaper Al-Baath.
