The Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA) has entered into a contract with Tyler Technologies, US-based provider of end-to-end information management solutions and services for local governments, for its enterprise resource planning (ERP) application.
Under the terms of the contract, Tyler will provide TMWA with its Dynamics AX 2012 ERP application, co-developed by Tyler Technologies and Microsoft, to help the non-profit public water utility manage all its core functions easily and reduce manual processes. Tyler will also implement its Eden human capital management and payroll applications technology.
Tyler will also implement Dynamics AX 2012 applications, including project accounting, accounts receivable and general ledger and business intelligence across its operations in Nevada.
Truckee Meadows Water Authority Information Technology manager Yugandhar Narala said the authority chose the two solutions because of their quick implementation timeline.
"Truckee Meadows Water Authority selected Dynamics AX 2012 and Tyler's Eden solutions based on several factors, including how both products closely align with our strategic direction and how they will allow for significant process automation through the reduction of current manual processes," Narala added.
"The Microsoft and Tyler products are intuitive and easy to use, which cuts down on training time."
ERP system integrates management data across the organisation including financial, sales, service, customer relationship management, manufacturing and other information to help all the business functions access the compiled data easily.
TMWA is a non-profit public utility providing water services in Washoe County, Nevada.
