Xylem unveils new mobile application for water removal and flood control

31 January 2013

US-based water technology provider, Xylem, has introduced a new mobile application version of its Xylem Dewatering Handbook for water removal and flood control solutions.

The new application has been designed to provide quick and easy access to dewatering, water removal and flood control pump product information for customers, even while on the move.

In addition to enabling customers to search for the ideal product to meet their particular dewatering requirements, the new solution will assist customers in selecting products from Xylem's Flygt and Godwin brands, from any location.

Xylem dewatering business head Andrew Jones commented that the Xylem Dewatering Handbook App provides the company's free expertise service directly into the palm of the customer's hand.

"Water removal and flood control demands a 24/7, customer-centric, responsive dewatering partner; we take pride in that and the Xylem Dewatering Handbook App is another way of us delivering on that promise," Jones added.

The new solution is currently available for iOS devices, to enable search by product type for the customers and find a set of convenient calculators for friction loss, pressure, power, and flow conversion.

"The Xylem Dewatering Handbook App provides our customers globally with the ability to access product information from a smartphone anywhere in the world," Jones added.

The GPS enhanced 'locate and contact us' function enables the user to find a Xylem representative near their location.
